Abstract

Background. Procedure of risk analysis of process equipment with operational hazard sources intended for safety specification validating and documentation procedure on engineering development is under consideration. Materials and methods. The methodology is based on the system concept and operational risk analysis. It is implemented by specially developed information support system and expertise method.
Results. The procedure of risk analysis is realized as a document of quality management system in JSC "Chemmash-Start". It is used by engineers for substantiation of developed process vessel safety and reliability. Substantiation results are implemented into "Safety case" document and as technical requirements section in engineering documentation. The procedure is used by specialized information support system.
Conclusions. Developed methodology of risk analysis is useful for fulfillment of requirements of the Customs Union "On the safety of machinery and equipment" regulations by Russian machine building enterprises.
